Is this the start of the Rhubarb Trifle that I'm so curious about? I may have to come back for another dessert run.

It is indeed, well spotted.
Rhubarb trifle is one of my most favourite puddings in the world. Catch it while you can people.
On top of the rhubarb jelly is a layer of vanilla sponge soaked in rhubarb syrup, on top of that is a vanilla bavarios. That in turn is covered with a Rhubarb puree. next layer is what we English call 'Eton mess' only using rhubarb instead of the traditional strawberries. 'Eton mess',named after the posh school that princes' go to (not cooks), consists of chantily cream broken meringue and rhubarb compote.
