Is the pork from a local producer? Looks great - I've seen Kurobuta pork on sale at Japanese Butchers - but I've always assumed that they were imported (hence the sticker shock).

We get it by way of Nikuya Meats. Who import it ( along with the Wagyu Beef) From Snake River Farms.
